Strainer and Lid

Before pipeline milking systems, this type of stainless steel strainer would be placed in the milk can so that the milk could be strained through a filter pad as the can was filled.  The lid would then be placed on top to further help keep the milk clean.  On some farms, the strainer and lid were used on the bulk tank.
