Description
USED This is a Grove Gear “Lightning” cast iron and steel gear reducer. The reducer measures 8 3/4″ tall by 7 3/4″ wide by 12″ deep overall. The main body measures 8 1/4″ tall by 7 3/4″ wide by 6 1/2″ deep. The motor mounting plate has an outer diameter of 6 1/2″ with a keyed inlet that has an inner diameter of 5/8″ that is 2″ deep. The inner ring of this plate has a diameter of 4 1/2″. The shaft extends 2 3/8″ from the 4 1/4″ outer diameter mounting plate. The shaft has an outer diameter of 1 1/4″ that is keyed along its length. The threaded hole in the shaft’s center has an inner diameter of 1/4″ and is 1 1/4″ deep. The six mounting holes on the shaft end have an inner diameter of 5/16″. The four main mounting holes for the gear reducer have an inner diameter of 1/2″.
The indicated specifications for this gear reducer are Ratio 60.90:1; maximum input at 1750 horsepower: 1.494; output torque 2800 inch-pounds; mounting position A; date code G/09.
